Its name comes from the sema, the turning ceremony of Istanbul's whirling dervishes: a belt made to hold a silhouette still while everything around it moves. Wrap it twice, pass one tie through the discreet slot on the panel, and knot it at the front or side. It gives shape to a flowing abaya, a jersey dress or an open jacket without asking anything of the fit beneath.
